Festival parts

The Boulevard of Light takes place from December 7^th through January 20^th, from 7 PM until 10 PM. Between de Munt and the Amstel hotel, the river and its surrounding area will be given a makeover with the contemporary, spectacular light sculptures made by (inter)national light artists. The bridges and public buildings participate as well, each with their own appropriate lighting.

The Illuminade takes place from December 14^th through December 30^th, from 5 PM until 10 PM. It is a walking route of more than an hour, across the historic part of Amsterdam, between Amstel and the Maritime Museum, passing 20 inspiring light art objects.

The Christmas Canal Parade is an enchanting boat parade on December 15^th, from 6.30 PM
In about 45 minutes, the parade passes the audience. The route is Westerdok, Prinsengracht, Amstel, Nieuwe Herengracht, Maritime Museum, Oosterdok.

Socialight consists of various programs for and by the people of Amsterdam. They take place on various locations. The Waterlooplein Lampshade Forest can be seen from December 7^th through January 20^th from 12 PM  - 10 PM at the Waterlooplein.
You can join the Light my Ride tour on December 22^nd, with your embellished bike, skateboard, roller skates, in short, with anything that has wheels and is not motorized.  Departure from the Museumplein, next to AH at 6.30 PM.
